Sydney Body Art Ride 2006

Look out wowsers! They're back again. The barely clad cycling activists of the Sydney Body Art Ride will once again be taking to the streets in all their painted splendour to promote bicycle commuting, public art and healthy sustainable living and you can join them!

At 9.30am on Sunday the 12th of February people will begin assembling (and undressing) on the Physics Lawn at University of NSW. The Sydney Body Art Ride paint team will be there to paint them, creating a living moving artwork named the "Human Rainbow" which symbolises the Australian spirit of inclusiveness, fun and volunteering.

People of all shapes, ages, creeds and sexuality are urged to join us for this opportunity to collectively thumb our noses at the small minority of vocal wowsers who pollute our community.

At 1.00pm the riders will mount their bicycles and ride off in groups of colour so that you will see the Rainbow moving down the roads of Randwick City to South Maroubra Beach. Upon arrival the sacred secular procession will march into the sea to wash off their biodegradble UV proof paint. It's an amazing sight. Don't miss it.

Entry is free but a $2 or more donation is required for Children's Cancer Research. This donation symbolises our hope for the future and our ongoing fight to save the innocent children who have been made ill by the pollution of cars and factories.

Remember the wowsers will only triumph if good people do nothing!!!
